Unafi
Acceptable use policy
Effective date: July 28, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses the Unafi platform and services (the "Services") and is part of our Terms of Service. Unafi is a platform for sending real marketing to real people who want to hear from you. These rules protect the recipients of your marketing, other Unafi customers, and the deliverability of the platform itself.
1. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Services to:
Spam and unsolicited messaging
- Send bulk email, SMS, or other messages to recipients who have not given you appropriate consent;
- Use purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise third-party-harvested contact lists;
- Continue messaging recipients who have unsubscribed or revoked consent.
Deceptive marketing
- Use false or misleading sender identities, subject lines, or headers;
- Impersonate another person, brand, or organization;
- Run phishing campaigns, fraudulent offers, or other scams.
Illegal or infringing content
- Publish, send, or store content that is illegal in the jurisdictions where you operate or where your recipients are located;
- Publish or distribute content that infringes the intellectual-property rights of others;
- Distribute malware or content designed to harm recipients or their devices.
Abuse of messaging channels
- Violate the laws that govern commercial messaging in the jurisdictions where your recipients are located — including laws that require consent before sending marketing messages, honest sender identification, and working unsubscribe or opt-out mechanisms for email and SMS;
- Violate the policies of the messaging, social, or advertising channels you connect to your workspace;
- Evade rate limits, suppression lists, or unsubscribe handling.
Security abuse
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without authorization;
- Attempt to access other customers' workspaces or data;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, or use them to attack other systems.
2. Consent requirements for audience data
You are responsible for the audience data you bring into Unafi. Before importing contacts or sending them marketing messages, you must have a lawful basis to do so — in most cases, meaningful consent collected by you. You must honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and maintain records of consent where the law requires it. Unafi operates on your audience data at your direction; using Unafi does not change your obligations as the sender.
3. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Depending on severity, we may warn you, remove content, suspend sending capabilities, or suspend or terminate your account, with notice where practicable. We may also notify or cooperate with authorities where the law requires it. Repeated bounces, spam complaints, or channel-policy violations may result in restricted sending even without a specific AUP violation, to protect platform deliverability.
4. Reporting abuse
If you receive unwanted messages sent through Unafi, or you see a Unafi-hosted site or campaign that violates this policy, report it to abuse@unafi.io. Include the message or URL and any relevant details; we review every report.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. The effective date above reflects the current version; material changes will be announced to account owners.
